Safety Robert Lester sees promise in Tide's reloaded secondary | al.com
> "We've got a lot of new guys out there who are anxious to get started, put
the pads on, do what they know, and show how they can compete," Lester said
Saturday after Alabama's fifth practice of the spring. Junior-to-be Dee
Milliner started 10 games as a freshman and six as a sophomore, but he is
being pushed at cornerback by junior college transfers Travell Dixon and Deion
Belue. "They are athletes, and Coach (Nick) Saban trusted they could come in
and play," Lester said of the newcomers, "If he trusted they can, we will,
too. We're going to do whatever we can do to encourage them, motivate them,
let them know they can play here, and hopefully they can get on the right
track and play here."
Tide veterans set the standard | Dothan Eagle

spring practice. But they also sound as eager as anyone to see that potential

Does enabling 802.1p on my NIC increase load on my CPU?
My computers all use Intel Pro 1000/MT Desktop adapters and I was wondering if enabling 802.1p on them would increase processor load... My switch (DGS-2208) supports it and jumbo framing, which I also have enabled (to reduce processor load, in theory). Thanks!
Yea, but it increases the packet size and what not. Also, Windows QoS schedule is responsible for setting the bits in the packet, so it must have to do some sort of processing. Right? I read a lot of, "in theory" and "how it works" stuff, but no real world reviews on how it effects performance.. at least, not in a home consumer level setting.
Also, both the server and workstations are running on old nforce2 Athlon XP hardware..
Erm... no, because it's processed by the router or the wireless adapter.
EDIT: What you're asking still doesn't make any sense. More packets = more things sent, the CPU hardly does any work.
